| Welcome to The Legacy Portrait by Bard Wrisley The Legacy Portrait series is an original creation by fine art and commercial portrait photographer Bard Wrisley. Since 1975, Bard’s work has reflected the essence of many people and places. You have probably seen his photographs on billboards, in brochures and advertisements, or on the walls of a gallery. Bard sees The Legacy Portrait as a work of art approached in the same way a portrait painter works. His special talent is making people comfortable allowing him to use his own experiences and instincts to capture a powerful, unforgettable image. Bard's Philosophy Our lives are racing by faster than ever. Time for ourselves and time spent with loved ones is becoming more precious every day. That’s why it is so important to capture who we are in a meaningful, natural, individualized portrait. It seems impossible to separate the people I photograph from their favorite places. I seek to show the connections between each individual and their environment, both built and natural. I prefer to take you outside the studio and connect you with the places that speak to you. Working in black and white achieves an artistic, hand-crafted and realistic image of the highest quality. I adore working in color as well, if you prefer. A Legacy Portrait is a true collaboration.
