Artist’s Statement Our lives are racing by faster than ever. Time for ourselves and time spent with loved ones is becoming more precious every day. That’s why it is so important to capture who we are in a meaningful, natural, individualized portrait. It seems impossible to separate the people I photograph from their favorite places. I seek to show the connections between each individual and their environment, both built and natural. I prefer to take you outside the studio and connect you with the places that speak to you. Working in black and white achieves an artistic, hand-crafted and realistic image of the highest quality. I adore working in color as well, if you prefer. A Legacy Portrait is a true collaboration. I do not “take” your picture; we are both contributing to making a work of fine art that your family will treasure for generations.
